Bonnefication visits Triumph UK

Had an invite to Triumph HQ for a little chat about the blog and Facebook page, and of course Triumph Twins. Had a tour of the Factory which I was not allowed to take pictures of, but was very interesting. No the twins are not made in Hinckley, but a lot of the components are.  Not going to bore you with details, but it was an interesting and informative day.The guys at Triumph are as enthusiastic about modified Triumph twins as we are and are keen for owners to make them into what they will. I suggested Triumph get involved and perhaps customise a Bonneville (not like the Ewan and Belstaff bikes) and in an unofficial way, so people don’t mistake it for a production bike or prototype. I think we all agreed that the Classic range is the perfect blank canvas and all you need add is a bit of imagination to make each bike unique. I feel that Triumph is missing out on the custom scene and perhaps needs to get more involved with more interesting aftermarket parts.

  1. They do need to get involved with the custom scene. I have a Street Glide as well as my scrambler and it really annoys me that I have to go scouring the internet.
