Mule France – So Britt and goodies

Many of Bonnefication’s regular readers may well be aware of the name Richard Pollock of Mule motorcycles, the builder of many a fine Triumph Twin based Flat Trackers along with his very very nice Catalina Scrambler. Richard has been busy over the last few years, not only building bikes but also producing a very nice range of goodies which will allow you to build your very own Flat Tracker. To help with the sales and distribution of these parts and accessories in the ever growing EU market, Richard has partnered with Stéphane Bergeot to establish  Mule France – which has the full workshop facilities not only to sell but also to fit and build complete bikes such as the ‘So Britt’ features here.

The bike started live as a 2010 EFI Bonneville SE with 7400km on the clock, which was then striped back and fitted with the a full range of Mule part including their Oilcooler kit which effectively removes the stock oil cooler and engine cradles and replacing them with a much more effective item with only half the cradle retained.1

Next up is the cutting of the frame and the fitting of the Mule Tracker seat kit which comprises of a cleverly designed bold on tail section and all the part you need to make you Twin look like a fully fledged Flat Tracker.4The ‘So Britt’ was then fitted with Mule Tracker bars and the 19″ wheel kit which comprise of the Mule hubs kit, Sun Alloy rims and stainless steel spokes and nipples, which were then fitted with a 320mm discs paired with a Beringer 4 pistons front calliper and topped off with Goldentyres Flattrack tires.5
Up front the stock fork and yokes are gone, having been replaced by USD forks from YZF R6 which have been fitted to the Triumph using Mule own yoke kit. The Exhaust is again Mules own 2>1 stainless steel exhaust system. Other detail on the  ‘So Britt’ include; Mule bracket for the Acewell digital speedometer, Canyon racers turn light signals (front and rear), Joker Machine ignition relocation bracket, Mirrors from Best for BrittsBiltwell grips and a Monza tank cap.20The finished Tracker build look amazing,  which is made even better by the fact that the looks of this motorcycle can be achieved by the home builder with only a small degree of DIY mechanic skill. Or if you didn’t want to get your hands dirty, or didn’t have the time the chaps at Mule could carry out the work for you.10

You also don’t have to go for the full spec list featured on the ‘So Britt” with each part being sold seperatly. I think Seat and bars should pretty much cover what you would need to get your Flat Track Triumph build started, the fitting of which Im sure many could do themselves.
