‘Home Build’s’ are the bread and butter of the custom and modified Triumph Twin world. It’s what supports the many aftermarket parts and accessories manufacturers the world over. Without the home build the range of goodies available to the Triumph Twin rider would probably be as interesting as it was ten years ago… no demand, not product. Today there are more bolt-on goodies than many would know what to do with, with parts to suit styles including Brat, Cafe, Tracker, Street Sled and Scrambler. The custom Triumph’s that Bonnefication and other motorcycle websites feature help to inspire, but due to the costs involved in commissioning such machines, they are out of the reach of many. But building something similar, at home, is within many peoples budget and ability.
A year or so ago Bonnefication ran the ‘Blogger Bikes’, articles featuring a few of the many Triumph’s who’s owners had taken the plunge and decided to modify their bikes themselves. This also includes bikes which may of had a little professional help, but the majority of the work had been done by the owner, we can’t do everything after all.
I thought it was about time to bring this feature back and every couple of weeks Bonnefication will highlight the bikes that have been built at home in sheds and garages. If you have been busy over the last few years or just the winter building your Triumph Twin into your dream machine, why not submit your bike using this link we would love to see it. ‘My name is Adam Gray and I’d like to submit my custom 2014 Bonneville T100. I’m a physician from Richmond, VA who loves to ride and tinker with my bike. Riding, for me, is the single best way to clear my head after a stressful day of work or just take a break from reality. 
A close second is working on my bike! And work on it I did. When I first got my Bonneville, I decided that I wanted to make it my own. Specifically, I wanted to make it a more modern version, more lean and muscular with performance to match the looks.’

I’ve learned a lot by doing all these mods mostly myself, with a little help from some friends. But I am NOT a bike builder. I’m a bike modifier.
