Dave (Volksrat) Kennedy bought this ’06 Triumph T100, second hand from Webbs of Peterborough in 2009 for £4600. Dave knew straight away, like many of us, that a few changes were needed to make his new pride and joy a little bit different. Dave ditched all the aftermarket bolt-on as well as a few standard parts such as the front guard, lights, rack, and the hefty centrestand.

Dave, at first replaced the standard handlebars with Harley Santee bars, (horror) which he later changed for tracker style bars with with a bar end mirror (thank god) The standard indicators were ditched for smaller items, as well as the front mudguard, which was replaced with a Thruxton front ‘guard’. At the back, a fender eliminator kit with led old style rear light was fitted.

Dave also powder coated the engine cases black/drilled out the sprocket cover and swapped out the 17 tooth front sprocket for a 19 tooth one, and fitted a Sunline motocross MX alloy gear shifter. Dave opted for a 2/1 stainless exhaust over the way too quiet standard peashooters and finally he stripped the tank of badges and knee rubbers, added some fresh paint (Ford Tagerine Scream) then had it signwritten locally with “TRUMPET” To finish it all off Dave has the number plate T100 FTW, perfect!

Dave says ‘There’s still more to work to do, such as re-wiring, losing the airbox and fitting a bates headlight’
